I don't feel like dropping $400 on gauges for this older Ford. I know there are a lot of bad opinions on glowshift, but I am finding a lot of good opinions too, and as long as they work for a few years, I'll be happy. Gray 92 97 Ford Powerstroke Triple Pillar Pod Black Glowshift Diesel Gauge Kit | eBay However, I do plan to tow quite often with this 94 and I think for what these gauges cost, it would be worth it. In my 97 I am not running any gauges, but I don't tow with it and it's never in the mountains pulling hills at full throttle sustained. My question for you guys are what kind of EGT's are you guys seeing with a stock truck and DP tunes? Mine is completely stock. The DP tune runs waaaay better on the top end, I can easily run up to 3200rpm with strong power, where my 97 seems to drop off in power past 2800 and starts to get a pretty heavy haze for some reason. Now I can say the custom tunes really are better than the stock TS tunes in my 97. I think it's running as it should at this point. But, after a few miles, it quit smoking as bad, power came up, and responsiveness also improved. It was somewhat weird in that when I first installed it, it smoked like crazy (black) and didn't seem to have much more power then stock. Smoke is a concern to me because I have ZF5 trucks and I'm in California. Jody said it would smoke less then my TS chip with stock tunes that I have in my '97 F super duty. I went with a simple tune setup: stock, 1300rpm idle, no codes 60HP tow, no codes 80HP daily drive/econo. I received my F5 chip from DP Tuner last week and installed it into my 94 F350 and have about 100 miles or so behind the wheel with it in.
